The East Coast of the United States is known for being “inherited” (whether that is legacy schools, institutions, or political parties — think of the names Kennedy, Bush, and Clinton). The West Coast of the United States is known for being “founded” (from the Gold Rush to Facebook). While these statuses have become the norm, it seems the exponential curves of technology and the Covid-19 dumpster fire in 2020, have tossed these coastal labels into a blender.

The decentralized nature of cryptocurrency has trickled over into our society in every way… especially disrupting these “inherited” and “founded” labels. The West Coast/Silicon Valley is dispersing across the globe with forced remote work and the appeal of moving to more “open” states (like Florida and Texas). The East Coast institutions like Harvard have turned into overpriced Zoom meetings and online educational platforms like Coursenvy.com have had their biggest years of growth… of course after every human watched all of Netflix first, then they were willing to upskill themselves :)

So now there is no East or West. Just a decentralized network of any piece of information you would ever need at your fingertips… truly threads on Twitter better than Harvard Business School. The ultimate example is our USD currency being printed like fun coupons by the oldest President in history. The USA is outdated and “inherited” systems are scrambling. Hyperinflation is inevitable and Bitcoin will become the main world currency. While this will shake us to our foundation, the other side will be very bright and filled with YOUR new ideas.
